I have painted up some Highland Cattle. There are two manufacturers I have chosen to paint. Irregular Miniatures, which has closed, and Victrix Limited. Bow and Arrow Miniatures has picked up some of the Irregular Miniature lines and currently lists the 20mm on its website. Other products may be available on request. For the Irregular Miniatures, the product numbers of cow is AN38 and the calf is AN40. The Victrix cows and calf are from the Medieval Farm Animals set. I do wish I had picked up more cattle and other miniatures from Irregular Miniatures before they closed.

The Victrix cattle look a little bit more like cows. The Victrix miniatures look like they have an udder. The picture does not do a good size comparison despite that being the goal.

The Irregular miniature is on a metal puddle base on top of the 50x100mm base, which gives it a boost to about the same height as the Victrix cow when I compare to the hip. The Irregular cattle is also slightly shorter length wise, and slightly narrower when viewed from above. However, despite that I am extremely pleased with both sets of miniatures. I think they go together well and the similar but not the same size is a bonus.

Both calves are on 20x20mm bases. The Irregular calf has a metal puddle base, and is still shorter height wise and length wise. I am also pleased with these miniatures, the size variation adds some variety to the herd.
I am not sure what I am going to use these for. Pathfinder cattle are medium sized for some strange reason, and Aurochs are large sized. They might see use in Pillage game if I ever get enough terrain painted.
